SPAETZLE!!!

First attempt at making SPAETZLE was a success!! It was a lot easier than I expected! And only took about 15 minutes to make! Paired it with beer boiled Nuremberger bratwurst and a gravy!! Yum yum yum!!!

SPAETZLE

1 cup flour
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1/2 teaspoon cardamom
2 eggs
1/4 cup milk
A little Olive oil

In a large bowl mix dry ingredients.. In a smaller bowl whisk milk and eggs together.
Make a well in the flour mix and put eggs in. Gradually draw the flour mixture into the eggs (fold into) until smooth and thick. Set for 15 minutes.

Boil about 3 quarts of water in a large pot. Now take a colander and put dough and start scraping the dough through the holes of the colander to into the boiling water. Cook the spaetzle about 3 minutes or until the float to the top scoop out with slotte spoon and transfer to a pan and crisp until there's a little color :)

For the brats I just boiled them in a hefeweizen chopped onion and a couple cloves of garlic!
